Eli's
collection This is a sampling of his work. If you are interested in one of these Torah cases or would like to commission him to craft one for you please contact us. Each sterling silver Sephardic Torah case made by Eli and his team of skilled silversmiths in Israel is custom crafted according to the request of each client. These Torah cases are individually crafted to order. You may choose from the Torah cases shown, request slight variations or a personal dedication and even request an entirely new custom crafted design. These sterling silver Sephardic Torah cases, also known as a Sephardic Torah tik, are made of a heavy gauge sterling silver over a solid yet lightweight wood base. Generally yellow brass is used as well as part of the lettering or ornamentation. Gold can be used as well but will obviously raise the cost. Sephardic Torah cases are used by most Sephardi congregations for their Sephardic Torah scrolls, which are generally 50 or 56cms tall. Ashkenazic shuls and some Sephardi shuls bind their Torah scrolls onto Torah rollers, etz chaims and dress them with a Torah cover, known as a Meil or mantle.
