Parshios: The sofer of these tefillin is certified. He is in his 30's and lives in Jerusalem. The writing is kosher lechatchilah and is of fair aesthetic quality. He is the same sofer as in our Ashkenaz GA-2 tefillin.
Batim: These batim are made by Shapira. They are gasos batim, which is the finest type made. They are graded as halachically mehudar. They are made under the independent supervision of Harav Moshe Shaul Klein Shlit’a of Bnei Brak.
Retzuos: ALL BLACK, excellent quality, halachically mehudar and handmade by Weissman in Israel under the independent supervision of Harav Moshe Shaul Klein Shlit’a of Bnei Brak.
Comments: This pair of tefillin is our starting lechatchilah pair we offer. The Peshutim Mehudarim batim are questionably lechatchilah while the gasos batim are lechatchilah according to all halachic opinions. Due to the halachic and obvious qualitative superiority of these tefillin it is worth every effort to acquire them over the Peshutim Mehudarim.
