Parshios: The sofer of these tefillin is certified. He resides in Jerusalem, originally from France and is in his late 30’s. These are our “entry level” Sephardic, mehudar tefillin. The sofer has been writing and working as an examiner for many years and his writing is very aesthetically pleasing.
Batim: These batim are made by Bais Hatefillin Hayerushalmi, also known as “Lichtenstein’s” batim or by Tiferet. They are gasos batim, which is the finest type made. They are beautifully finished, very sturdy, high quality and are graded as halachically mehudar. They are made under the independent supervision of Harav Moshe Shaul Klein Shlit’a of Bnei Brak.
Retzuos: excellent quality, halachically mehudar and handmade by Weissman in Israel under the independent supervision of Harav Moshe Shaul Klein Shlit’a of Bnei Brak.
Comments: This is the perfect pair of tefillin for those who desire a very high quality pair and are on a careful budget. We are careful that the writing on the parshiot fits completely into the bayit, upper cube, of both the tefillin shel yad and shel rosh as required by Harav Ovadiah Yosef Shlit’a. In his opinion the tefillin are not kosher if the writing rests within the titura, base of the tefillin.
